GRADING SYSTEM
CCA grades each unit test on a straight percentage basis. No curve is used. A semester’s work in each course is divided into six units which are averaged for a final grade. For full-year courses, or two semesters, all twelve units are averaged for the final grade. Each passing semester course earns one credit. Each full-year course earns two credits.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
There are four distinct graduation pathways offered. The College Prep path requires a minimum of 42 credits with subject area requirements including three upper math courses, three lab sciences, four years of English, three history courses plus Civics, and careers and computer training courses. The Honors program requires a minimum of 46 credits that include at least six honor course credits. The General path requires 42 credits with a minimum of a full year high school level course in each core subject area. The Vocational path requires 42 credits with a minimum number of credits in each core subject area.
CURRICULUM FEATURES
INDIVIDUALIZED CURRICULUM
CCA uses an individualized curriculum with course completion determined by achievement rather than time. It features quarterly, weekly, and daily goal setting and self-management of those goals at the College Prep and Honors levels. This system can work well for both the under-achieving and over-achieving student.
MOTIVATIONAL SYSTEM
Privilege status levels are earned by students a week at a time and are based on achievement and behavior. Privileges include extra breaks, Learning Center freedoms, field trips, and other activities.
STUDENT LEADERSHIP
Various student leadership opportunities include Student Council, peer-to-peer Buddy Study, Big Buddy program, chore captains, and classroom and project service.
HONORS PROGRAM
CCA attempts to provide for the motivated student by offering our Honors program. Courses available include Advanced Literature, Advanced Writing Technique, Collectivism, Economics, MOUS Certification, Physics, Pre-Calculus & Trigonometry, Sign Language, and Speech.
MODEL SCHOOL
CCA awarded Model School Status by Accelerated Christian Education.
SAT SCORE AVERAGES
The lifetime (20 yr.) SAT score average is among the highest of all Hamilton County (IN) schools, including public schools.
