Dress Code
Specific dress code guidelines are built on the general principles of NEATNESS and MODESTY.
The Leadership of
Cornerstone Christian Academy
reserves the right to make decisions concerning what is and is not acceptable dress based on the above principles.
General Guidelines
*Clothes should be kept clean and worn neatly.
*Pant hems should not be frayed nor drag the ground. Excessively baggy clothes are not allowed.
*Hair is to kept neat and trimmed. Hair may be colored with natural hair colors only.
*Any clothes which are worn to bring undo or excessive attention to self will not be allowed.
*Baseball hats are not to be worn indoors or on most field trips. (Workday exceptions may apply)
*Any clothes worn out of a rebellious attitude will not be allowed.
*Any jewelry, accessories, logos and messages are to be wholesome and have no anti-Christian connection.
*Boys are allowed to wear necklaces but not earrings.
*Boys are to be clean-shaven.
*Boys shirts will be worn tucked.
*The length of girl’s hemlines and necklines will be set at the discretion of the administration.
Dress Code Specifics
There are three levels of dress, depending upon:
- Day of week
- Student Privilege Status
Dress Up (Wednesday)
* BOYS:
Dress pants, full-button dress shirt, tie, dress shoes, socks
*GIRLS:
Dress or skirt, dress top, dress shoes
Casual (Mon., Tues., Thur., Fri)
Nice pants, slacks or colored jeans, nice shirt or sweater.
Nice tennis shoes.
*GIRLS:
Girl’s mini-T’s must be cut differently than regular T-shirt and must cover all areas when hands are raised above head.
Modest, sleeveless tops at least 1-inch wide straps.
*Other Casual Day Notes
No blue jeans, sweat pants or sweat shirts, T-shirts.
Non-offensive and non-suggestive brand name logos and messages are allowed on clothing.
Relaxed (For students on C– or E-Privilege Status)
Nice blue jeans, nice sweat shirts, Christian T-shirts, decent sandals, nice ring-collared shirts, fleece tops, nice jersey tops, nylon pants or sweat suits (unless causing noise problems).
Non-offensive and non-suggestive brand name logos and messages are allowed on clothing.
